For several years now, Monolord's formidable reputation has been gaining renown within the international underground stoner doom scene.  Their major breakout, however, came in 2017 with their third LP Rust, released via Riding Easy Records. 

 

The ongoing saga of the group's rise to power continued last week as Relapse Records announced the signing of Monolord to their label along with a massive Western US Tour scheduled for Spring 2019.  The run will begin on April 19th at Brick by Brick in San Diego, visit the 420 Psycho Smokeout in L.A., then head in to the Southwest.  Unfortunately, the tour's only East Coast date will be in New York on April 28th, where the band will appear at Desert Fest, although the following weekend will see the band head through the Midwest with dates in Chicago and St. Louis.

Monolord consistently presents an absolutely crushing live set, so be sure to mark your calendars now to ensure you won't end up missing out on what will be one of next spring's heaviest shindigs.
