Ukrainian black metal outfit 1914 has just announced the release of their upcoming album The Blind Leading the Blind via Redefining Darkness Records, and is now streaming two singles from the record on the label's Bandcamp page.  1914 was formed in 2014 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first World War; the band itself is an "homage to all that fell fighting the Great War, even utilizing excerpts from period songs within their own music.  Compositionally, the record is rather diverse, incorporating elements of atmospheric black metal, blackened doom, and even death doom into their songs, holistically recreating the mortifying terror and violent agony of World War I.
